Preparing for your Technical Training Classroom

Welcome! Thank you for registering for the Technical Skills Training. The training is designed for both managing breakout rooms and presentations of slides and videos.

This training is specifically designed for both new and senior Course Supervisors for Landmark’s weekend courses delivered online (The Landmark Forum, The Advanced Course and Communications Courses). The training will cover everything from “what to do” and “who to be” to providing access to a breakthrough in your performance.

 

Below, you will find instructions and resources that will ensure that you get the most out of your time in the training. Please complete steps 1 to 5  before attending the training session.

Do not worry, if none of this makes sense at the moment. We will cover everything in the training session and make sure that everyone gets what they need.

Technical Training Classroom Information

Time and Date: regularly 1st and 3rd Mondays each month, at 5 PM Pacific Time.

Training length: ~2 hours
Delivery format: Zoom video conference

What you need to do before attending the training

Before you are scheduled to attend your training, please ensure that you are set up properly and have downloaded the files linked below.

1. Computer hardware requirements:

  • Computer or laptop (Windows or Mac)
  • A second monitor attached to the computer/laptop in extended desktop mode

  

2. Computer software requirements:

  • an updated version of Zoom Meeting client (available at https://zoom.us)
  • a recent version of Microsoft PowerPoint (Microsoft PowerPoint is a requirement. Do not use any other presentation software, e.g. Apple Keynote, Google slides, Open Office, etc)

5. Setting up your desktop

In order to get the most out of your training, and hit the ground running, we recommend that you set up your computer desktop as shown in the video below. This is for Windows computers only.
